Hey Moneca
Clothing shapes our stories, reflects our culture, and holds meaning in our everyday lives. I want us to remember this always, especially when thinking about all the problems in the fashion industry. Because only when we truly value clothing can we start fixing what’s wrong and create something better together.
What we’re doing:
Responsible Manufacturing
Hey Moneca works with small, woman-owned producer in the Philippines who pay their workers fairly and take pride in small-batch, hands-on production, not massive factories. Every piece is also made with 100% cotton and designed to last, so it becomes something you’ll love and keep for years. We create limited runs so nothing goes to waste, and every garment finds a home where it’s appreciated.
Our thoughtful production process ensures each piece is crafted with care, detail, and quality, reflecting our commitment to responsible fashion.
Longevity, Resale & Repairs
We're all about clothes that live long, full lives. That’s why we use 100% cotton and design pieces meant to last. If your Hey Moneca piece no longer fits your life, we encourage you to resell it. Try Depop, Vinted, or FB Marketplace. We also encourage repairs to extend the lifetime of each garment. Our dream is for these dresses to get passed down, shared, and cherished through generations.
Transparency
Let’s be real. We are not 100% sustainable. But, we are doing our absolute best to be as ethical and environmentally responsible as possible. We aspire to be fully transparent about our process because honesty keeps us accountable and helps us grow.
Dreaming Bigger & Better
We're so excited for what's ahead. We’re always thinking and working towards using more organic, recycled, and byproduct materials, and aiming for zero production waste by finding ways to reuse leftover fabrics in the future. This journey is just beginning, and we’d love for you to be part of it. Tell us what sustainability looks like to you and how you'd like to see it show up in Hey Moneca.
Education & Community
We’re learning right alongside you. Through our platform, we would love to share little tips on sustainable living, caring for your clothes, and shopping with intention. We’re also all about connecting with others who care about these things too by joining sustainable groups, clubs, and slowly building a community that’s excited about making better choices together.
